MY REAL JOB.
What makes me good at my job is, I don’t treat it as a sales job. I treat it as providing information. I feel like if I do a good job providing information, if I’m thorough and communicate better than everyone else, then I really don’t have to sell anything. I’m selling myself just by being genuine and knowledgeable. That comes across whether you’re talking to people face to face or on the phone.
MY REAL LIFE.
My dad was with the State Department so I grew up overseas most of my life, traveling to different countries every two years. I’ve been around the world as a youngster. Then when I turned 15, we settled in the states for school reasons. I made my home base in Richmond and northern Virginia area where I went to school.
These days, I enjoy doing things with my wife, Leticia, whether it’s movies, dinner or whatever. We have two French bulldogs and we really like to do things together where we can bring our dogs. I also really enjoy sporting events.
MY REAL STORY.
I got into the lending industry in 1997, starting off in household finance. I’ve worked at a bank, I’ve worked for Sallie Mae doing student loans. I joined Rock Mortgage in 2018.
Being in this business so long, you realize there’s other places you’ve been where man, I wish I had this or man, I wish I had that. But with this company, it seems to have everything on my wish list. Everything, including underwriting, is in-house so you don’t have to wait three days for an answer. As the lender, it helps to be able to say that when you’re out there trying to explain to customers why they should pick us over somebody else.EMAIL ME
